Description
This property has been in the Jean-Pierre Moueix stable since 1953, and today is one of their most lusciously charming Pomerols. It is planted predominantly with Merlot vines, with some Cabernet Franc, lying on gravel-clay and old, deep, blue clay soils. This outstanding 2016 vintage is showing a fine ruby-garnet colour and scented, mature, stony aromas. This is an intense mouthful, having ripe, generous fruit and a fleshy middle. There is so much pleasure to be found in this wine, with layered, elegant textures and a perfect balance of richness and freshness to finish.
