The 2016 Niepoort LBV is made from a blend of traditional Douro grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and others. Tasting Note: Dark ruby colour with a red rim, the aroma is dominated by dark chocolate combined with wild berries and a hint of spice. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied wine with a firm structure and a refreshing acidity, leading to a lingering, spicy finish. It is perfect for drinking now, showcasing its freshness and primary fruit, but it can also benefit from cellaring.
