Mezan have an uncanny ability as an independent bottler for capturing the essence of a place, and this 2004 single cask from Guyana’s only producing distillery, the legendary Diamond Distillers Ltd, is no exception. Made using the world’s only wooden pot still and wooden column still (dating from the 19th century), it has an enticing profile of mango, golden syrup, wood spices, green banana, and ginger with a light hint of petroleum and a faint waft of daffodil.
