Description
From a limited run of just 2000 bottles, this is an ancestral mezcal of the highest order. It is made from the relatively rare highland Rhodacantha agave (most mezcal is made from Espadín, more commonly planted in the lowlands). This immediately transports me beside the sea; there is a gentle iodine element to the smoke and lovely salinity on the palate. The highlands of Oaxaca meet Islay, perhaps
