Description
Distilled in 2012 and matured for 13 years, this limited Glen Elgin single malt spent its final 3 years and 6 months in a virgin oak barrel, a bold finishing choice that adds depth and sweetness to the Speyside spirit’s natural elegance. Aromas of toffee popcorn, marshmallow and pineapple open the experience, leading to a palate of rich vanilla, custard cream, butterscotch and honeycomb. The virgin oak influence delivers concentrated sweetness and texture while letting Glen Elgin’s delicate fruitiness shine through.
Part of Alistair Walker’s Infrequent Flyers Batch 19, only 177 bottles were filled at natural cask strength, 58.5% ABV, non-chillfiltered and natural in colour.
