Description
A blend of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay from 19 Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, this 2018 aged for 7 years on lees in Bollinger’s cool cellars, building quality of mousse and intensity of flavour.
The 2018 vintage has produced a luminous, exhilarating, generous La Grande Année. Aromas are layered and complex, with notes of smoky citrus fruits, white peach and almond pastry. Palate is broad, finely chiselled and richly concentrated, with an alluring, mouthcoating, creamy texture. This has exceptional harmony and depth, and a long-lingering, vivacious finish (for drinking 2026-2036+).
