Description
Beaumont des Crayères is located in the hillside village of Mardeuil, in the heart of the Marne valley. The House`s story began in 1955, when a group of winemakers came together to form what has become a highly respected, quality-driven, 250-member co-operative. Showcasing Chardonnay from the region`s chalk and clay soils, this 2019 vintage Blanc de Blancs spent 5 years maturing on lees, giving a champagne that is creamily textured, layered and expressive. Pale lemon-gold, with vivacious bubbles, aromas are floral, pure and cool, with delicate lemon and white peach notes. Made as an Extra Brut style, with a low dosage of 4g/l, palate is full, clean and smooth, with tightly woven fruit flavours, mineral hints and a long, dry, harmonious finish. This is magnificent value for a vintage Blanc de Blancs that has finesse and complexity.
