Description
Clos des Issarts is a little-known, tiny First Growth, just north of the high part of Grand Cru Ruchottes-Chambertin, situated on similar contours. It is now regularly vinified separately by Faiveley, and we are thrilled to be able offer it again. The village was lucky at the time of the April frosts, with Premiers and Grands Crus escaping the worst of the damage. Colour is impressively deep, purple-ruby, aromas show richly fresh, abundant fruit. Palate is well-structured, with dense layers of flavour and refreshing, slightly salty, gentle tannins on the finish (for drinking 2025-2032+).
