Description
This château’s vines are superbly situated on the plateau of one of Pauillac’s best sectors. It rubs shoulders with vineyards belonging to classed growths Grand-Puy-Ducasse and Lynch-Moussas, and until 1948 formed part of the 4th Growth Ch Duhart-Milon. The 2016 has been assembled from 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Colour is medium ruby garnet, with attractive, scented, aromas of complex leather and spices. Flavours are ripe, with good middle-depth and freshness, all perfectly melded and supple in the mouth. A very classy bottle ready for immediate pleasure (for drinking now until the end of the decade).
