The Dampt brothers, Eric, Emmanuel and Hervé, are 2nd-generation winemakers with a mission to produce the finest Chablis of the appellation. They lend a modern twist to the classic style which is very appealing and their wines offer surprising value from this much sought-after region. They boast vineyards from Petit Chablis to Grand Cru and wines that are beautifully crafted. That’s why, every year, we’re hot foot to their cellar door, eager to try out the new vintage. 2023 was a generous year for yields, for which Burgundy producers were most thankful. Quality was high too. This superb Vieilles Vignes has bright apple character and crisp minerality which, with time, will develop honeyed intensity. Enjoy with seafood or creamy dishes.
