Description
The Zuccardi family estate was founded in 1963 by Alberto, the grandfather of today’s superstar winemaker Sebastián. The winery is an angular, almost brutalist structure, designed as a tribute to the austerity of the landscape it complements. Constructed with utmost respect for the grape, the cellar is fully gravity fed. You won’t find any stainless steel here – all the tanks are concrete – hence the wine’s unusual name. It’s even aged in concrete vats to preserve the fruit purity and structure of the Malbec. “Super polished, racy and refined” said James Suckling, “Exemplary and authentic! So delicious now. Why wait?”. Wine Advocate declared it “one of the finest vintages of this wine”. It will age superbly. Open early and decant or cellar.
