Description
This south-facing plot sits on one-metre-deep soil with silt and lots of quartz; it never has hydric stress. The vines were planted in 1936. Thibault Liger-Belair has almost one hectare here, but the yield is very low, so his production is small. The wine shows ripe and concentrated coulis-like raspberry and strawberry on the nose, with some pepper as well. It is like a ball of ripe, vivid strawberry on the palate, with fresh, salty tannins on the finish.
