Description
The 2022 Idun Crepuscule Pinot Noir is a beautifully delicate expression of Elgin’s cool-climate terroir, offering vivid red-fruit freshness and an elegant structure that makes it an essential pick for Pinot enthusiasts seeking finesse and balance.
p>The 2022 Crepuscule was hand-harvested, chilled overnight, and a portion of the grapes underwent gentle whole-bunch pressing. The must spent three days on skins before spontaneous fermentation in open tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in barrel, and the wine matured in French oak, allowing subtle spice to integrate with the pure Pinot fruit.
“Crépuscule” meaning twilight, captures the wine’s delicate glow and graceful complexity. This Pinot Noir boasts both immediate charm and cellaring potential. Its gentle extraction and artisanal approach ensure a wine that is as expressive today as it will be with age.
Pairing Suggestions: Enjoy alongside roasted duck breast with berry jus, wild mushroom risotto, grilled salmon with herb butter, or a goat’s cheese and beetroot salad.
Tasting Note: Very light ruby with a brick-red rim; cola tonic and fresh raspberry on the nose; the palate offers delicate red fruits with silky texture, bright acidity and an integrated, lingering finish.
