Description
The Tronquoy-Lalande wine is a blend of four grape varieties – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Each component contributes to the overall flavor profile, creating a sophisticated balance of roundness, density, aromas and enduring taste.
The vineyard is maintained with a meticulous attention to traditional farming methods, including the special “four ways” plowing technique, which involves multiple rounds of earthing-up and earthing-down. This process aerates the soil and facilitates water drainage, while also naturally controlling weed growth and promoting microbial activity in the gravel and clay-enriched soil.
Château Tronquoy-Lalande’s terroir, generally known as one of the finest, stretches seamlessly over 30 hectares on a historic outcrops in the heart of the famous Saint-Estèphe appellation.
Tasting Note: Under the same ownership as the illustrious Château Montrose, this shares the same density of cassis and damson fruit over a bed of firm but rounded tannins. Matured with characteristic leather, earthy tones that balance the dried fruit, with gentle classic cedarwood notes that add complexity and spice. Enjoy now.
