According to Ronnie Cox, Brands Heritage Director for The Glenrothes, “With time, vintages from the 1970s and 1980s are becoming increasingly endangered. The 1988 Vintage is a fantastic reminder of how beautifully The Glenrothes ripens from vibrant, zesty youth to rich, full-bodied maturity.” Never before bottled, the Vintage has benefited from more than two decades of maturing in a combination of Spanish and American oak. The combination gives the citrus notes a delicious cooked orange flavour and plenty of fruit.
