The William Pickering Tawny Port is a standout in our Own Selection range. This is made from a selection of blended Tawny Ports from the renowned Quinta do Noval, a name that has been synonymous with excellence in Port since the 1931 declaration. As with all Tawny Ports, this matures in large oak barrels called pipes that gradually oxidise the wine and soften tannins. Its “William Pickering” namesake relates to the son-in-law of the Widow Bourne, our founder, after who Pickering Place was also named.
Pair with blue cheeses, tarte tatin or crème brûlée.
