Description
This comes from a 40-year-old vineyard in Meloisey, where 30 cm of clay-limestone topsoil lies over deep limestone bedrock. The wine was 100% de-stemmed, aged 9 months in 228-litre barrels, then bottled promptly, to imprison its youthfulness, prior to the 2025 harvest. Colour is deep ruby-purple, aromas are clean and fresh. First impression on the palate is of bright, chewy fruit, then silky texture becomes apparent, leading to a crisp, invigorating aftertaste (for drinking 2026-2030+).
