Description
Springbank 21 Year Old 2026 Release is a rare, highly sought-after single malt produced in the historic whisky capital of Campbeltown. Renowned for its unique 2.5-times distillation process, traditional dunnage warehouse aging, and signature coastal profile, this 2026 edition showcases an exceptionally complex, multi-layered cask recipe. Comprising a masterfully balanced vatting of 65% Port, 25% bourbon, 5% rum, and 5% sherry casks, this limited release is bottled at a refined strength of 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colour, delivering a deeply authentic and luxurious tasting experience.
The aromatic profile opens with a vibrant, inviting bouquet of honeydew melon, ripe blueberries, and stewed plums, beautifully balanced by crisp orange rind and the trademark earthy musk of a classic Campbeltown dunnage warehouse. On the palate, this 21-year-old single malt presents a remarkably rich, viscous, and creamy mouthfeel. Indulgent flavours of smoked figs, dark fruits, and caramelised brown sugar merge seamlessly with notes of fresh blackberries, supple leather, and a delicate wave of soft peat smoke. The tasting experience finishes with tremendous length and elegance, leaving a lingering, harmonious trail of salted caramel, creamy toffee, and subtle, maritime-tinged smoke.
Hailing from Springbank Distillery, Scotland’s oldest family-owned independent distillery, this revered producer remains one of the few in the country to execute 100% of the whisky-making process on-site, from traditional floor malting to final bottling. By pairing time-honoured Campbeltown distilling traditions with an adventurous, multi-cask maturation strategy, Springbank continues to produce world-class Scotch whiskies celebrated by connoisseurs for their rich character, undeniable provenance, and exquisite balance.
