Description
Georgiev & Milkov are a small winemaking project in Bulgaria’s Western Thracian Valley founded by Petar Georgiev and Rado Milkov. The duo blend international experience with a focus on indigenous varieties, crafting approachable yet interesting wines that showcase local terroir and character. This 2023 edition continues their exploration of skin-contact styles from native grapes.
Made from 100 % Dimyat, a traditional Bulgarian white grape noted for aromatic fruit and freshness, the juice was fermented with skin contact for several weeks to extract colour and texture. After a long maceration, it was aged in oak and acacia barrels before bottling, preserving freshness while adding structure and subtle tannic grip typical of skin-contact wines.
Tasting Note: Pale orange-gold in the glass, this quirky orange wine delivers aromas of yellow apple, quince, light florals and a touch of citrus peel. The palate is dry and lively with bright acidity, a hint of almond and earthy complexity, finishing with lingering fruit and textural intrigue.
Origin: Thracian Valley, Bulgaria
Blend: Orange Dimyat
