Hans’ iconic answer to some of Burgundy’s top Cru whites in my opinion. Initially intense and concentrated with aromas of white peach, candied citrus, but with a silky texture masterly balanced by a crisp, natural acidity. Try with a Caesar salad lunch or heartier chicken dishes of an evening.
A mesmerising amber hue with subtle ginger notes and boundless food-pairing appeal. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a bottle of this wine with Hans and Therese a couple of years ago. We had it with hot-smoked Hampshire chalk stream trout, which is soon to be back in season. Epic.
